Hi,  My name is Terry, My wife is Deb and this is our Web. We hope that you find it interesting and  come back to visit often, whether to look for information or just to see if it has changed. As we are just beginning and many changes can be expected in the future.

My wife and I are members of the Antelope Valley Astronomy Club, so you will find many references to it and its members in our site. We joined the AVAC in 2000, I was the Vice President in 2001, the President in 2002 and the President in 2003. My wife was the Director of Community Development in 2002 and again in 2003. As you can see both my wife and myself share the love of the night sky together.

In 2004 my wife and I decided not to run for board positions with the AVAC  so that we would have more time to do other things. I am currently working towards a bachelors degree in physics and my wife is involved more than ever in the AVAC Youth Exploring Astronomy essay contest

In 2005, my wife and I were on the Board of the Antelope Valley Astronomy Club. My wife was the 2005 President and I was the Director of Community Development. It was a busy year as I was still going to school and she started a new business.

We are beginning to do more educational presentations at local schools and parks. We are both NASA certified Lunar sample set handlers and enjoy showing the lunar samples at various locations in the Antelope Valley. If you are interested in having a presentation at your facility contact us at terry@avobservatory.com .

In 2006 we were not the the AVAC board as we had other commitments. We sold our old home and moved to the middle of nowhere. Nowhere has fairly dark skies and we have room to roam. The first order was to setup an observing site and enjoy our hobby. We picked this particular place for the skies over several others.

In 2007 I once again was on the AVAC Executive board as President. We had a good year getting our observatory setup and attending many star parties. Our Public outreach has again gone to new heights and we had the chance to impact many live in a positive way.

Here it is 2008 and we have gotten the website up again! We are involved in many outreach projects and expect to have a stellar year.

I would like to thank my dear friend and mentor Tom Koonce for all his help and support in getting this website up and running, and his encouragement in all of my astronomy related interests.
